Relationship Management Analyst - Bank Network Management

Team/Role Overview:
This role provide support to the Global Bank Network Management (BNM) team who are responsible for managing agent bank relationships supporting Citi business.
BNM is part of the Corporate Shared Services (CSS) division under the Chief Operating Office (COO) Organisation. BNM provides best in class banking services to our business partners and clients, while strengthening regulatory compliance, governance, and control over Citi owned bank accounts. BNM global functions include: Relationship Management, Regulatory, Bank Expense Optimization, Bank Signatory Management and Agent Bank Risk.
The Relationship function is responsible for managing relationships with agent banks to provide transparency, governance, and control over real world bank accounts which Citi businesses hold globally, both with affiliates and 3rd party banks.
The role includes activities ranging from account openings and closings, bank relationship management, maintenance and confirmation of account information in the account repository, negotiation & processing of bank related documentation, communication of market practices and regulations, fee negotiations and service reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Network Managers in managing the relationship with the agent bank network providing clearing, settlement, custody, cash and credit services
* Ensure that all legal documentation is signed, scanned, linked to the internal bank account repository (ABACUS-WFT)
* Maintain agent bank details on Abacus-WFT and ensure this is kept up to date
* Carry out all standard account openings and closings as per the market’s requirement
* Ensure that agent bank and relationship bank contacts are kept up to date at all times on Abacus-WFT
* Monitor agent bank service levels
* Learn market practices and regulations, and communicate changes to interested parties
* Become region and market subject matter expert
* Ensure that account structure and documentation meet Regulatory requirements (ie FCA/SEC, etc)
* Ensure accounts opened and properly documented and in accordance with Regulatory requirements (ie SEC, FCA, etc)
* Ensure that account naming convention is followed for client related and firm accounts
* Assist with Agent Bank and Market Due Diligence reviews in accordance with regulatory requirements
* Maintain the central record of cash and security accounts that are open throughout the agent network
* Communicate all opening and closing requests to the agents with appropriate authorisation
* Maintain a database (Abacus-WFT) of all accounts known to be open at all agents throughout the network
* Act as escalation point for operational issues
* Involvement in high profile Projects relating to Risk Management, Data Integrity and Process Management
* Participate in system enhancement initiatives and provide feedback
* Support product and market expansion strategies
* Assists in ad-hoc reports, special projects and perform internal team assignments as needed to ensure smooth service delivery
* Complete all tasks – having connection with the organization’s activity but not detailed in the JDs – charged by the direct manager, supervisor, or the functional head
Ideal background:
* At least 3-5 years of experience in the international financial services industry, preferably Network Management, Account Management, Finance, International Securities or Treasury Operations
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
* College / University Degree
* Project Work experience (planning and execution)
* Mandatory Experience: dealing with third parties such as banks or service providers
* Knowledge of MS Office desktop applications; familiarity with SWIFT, TLM, Flexcube, BOX, GCMS is a plus
* Good analytical and presentation skills, strong time management skills
* Organised approach with good attention to detail
