If so, then we have an opening for you! * Under the direction of the Engineering Supervisor, the Engineering Technician 1 will provide technical support to * equipment engineers for the improvement, installation, validation and transfer of replicate custom automated * equipment used in the scale-up of manufacturing for existing or new Dexcom products. These duties include * supporting cross functional equipment deployment teams while working with outside suppliers to meet equipment * specifications and timelines. Where you come in: * You will work with schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to * perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions. * You will test performance of electro-mechanical assemblies, using test equipment * You will have experience with pneumatics, electromechanical systems, PLCs, and robotic systems in * a high-volume manufacturing environment. * You will operate, test, or maintain robotic equipment and vision systems. * You will analyse and record test results, and prepare written documentation * You will perform operational test and fault isolation on automated systems and equipment. * You will carry out activities in equipment development under the supervision of the project engineer. * These activities include the assembly and testing of equipment, fixtures, processes and/or electronics, * completing engineering studies and validations. * You will follow Dexcom’s Safety and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) program. * You will assume and perform other duties as assigned. * You will perform all assigned tasks with appropriate safety requirements. * You will update equipment related documentations (manuals, drawings, and specifications) as needed. What makes you successful: * Typically requires a Level 6/7 qualification and a minimum of 1-2 years of related experience * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical documents related to equipment * specifications * Ability to write routine reports, pass downs and correspondence * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, engineers and * managers * Knowledge and experience with PLC and Automated production/process equipment, Pneumatics, * Electro/Mechanical systems and Packaging equipment highly desirable. * Experience with process improvement projects i.e. improving yields, reducing downtime * Proven ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced environment * Excellent communication (written and verbal) and personal interaction skills * Knowledge of high reliability, high volume manufacturing equipment and processes * Technical writing skills as applied to manufacturing documentation and process development - * Experienced in the creation and revision of technical documentation What you’ll get: * A front row seat to life changing CGM technology.
