The Opportunity
This position works out of our Alajuela, Coyol location in the Vascular division that provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for the treatment of vascular disease.
What You’ll Do
Develop procedures to ensure compliance with all aplicable local EHS laws through knowledge of appropriate regulations.
To inspect plan facilities to identify potential hazards, analyzing operating records and reports, documenting all inquiries regarding safety, environmental or industrial hygiene issues, implementing corrective action where necessary, and ensuring that stablished procedures are followed correctly through permits assignments.
Provide and maintains documentation for training and certification (where applicable) in safety regulations, procedures, and compliance requirements to personnel that deal with specific environmental responsibilities (e.g. chemicals, air, water, solid wastes, emergency response team).
Work with Operations engineering staff to identify and evaluate potential manufacturing problems, suggestions for waste reduction, or deviations in (EHS) policies and make recommendations for corrections.
Develop Change Request and Work Order Notification to change or modify existing documents or methods in order to correct problemas or to accommodate changes in procedures.
Sustain and improve AVCR Environmental Management System.
Shift: Admin (Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm)

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health Safety associate diploma or equivalent.
1 year of experience in related areas.
Intermediate commands of English / required
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge in minimum requirements of ISO 14001 Management System
Desirable Certification of ISO14001 Internal/Leader Auditor
