We’re looking for an experienced Principal Engineer (Intrinsic Safety) specialist to support and lead certification activities within a high-performing engineering team. This is a key role combining technical expertise, team support, and project ownership—helping ensure safe, compliant equipment for use in explosive atmospheres while driving performance and continuous improvement.Key responsibilities:Lead and deliver ATEX, UKEx and IECEx certification activities in line with ISO 17025 and ISO 17065Act as a technical authority, providing guidance to clients and internal teams on certification requirementsSupport the Engineering Manager with team performance, utilisation targets, and project delivery (time, cost, scope)Drive continuous improvement across certification processes to enhance efficiency and client valueDevelop quotations, review certifications, and build strong client and stakeholder relationshipsQualificationsEssentialFull Driving Licence for use in the UKDegree in ElectronicsATEX, UKEx and IECEx certification experience.
