Skills and Competencies Minimum 15 years' experience in government policy, regulation, or law, gained within a financial institution, technology provider, regulator, government body, or supranational organization. Demonstrated track record preparing complex regulatory filings, policy submissions, or equivalent analytical work for or with sectoral regulators. Proven ability to build and maintain senior-level relationships with government officials, regulators, and industry stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong strategic judgment to translate complex policy issues into actionable business advice. Experience managing and developing teams in a matrixed, global organization. Some expertise in artificial intelligence, with a track record of implementing advanced AI solutions to drive strategic transformation and operational efficiency and demonstrated leadership in managing AI-related risks and fostering responsible AI adoption. Direct experience working in the Middle East, with proficiency in Arabic, French, or another relevant regional language - preferredAn existing network of relationships within government, regulatory, or multilateral institutions, and familiarity with credit rating agency regulation, capital markets policy, or related financial services frameworks - preferred.Education Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree in law, public policy, international relations, or a related field is preferred. Responsibilities Lead Moody's government relations, regulatory engagement, and public policy work across the Middle East & Africa, CEE, and the UK, with particular focus on the Gulf. Monitor and analyze credit rating, capital markets, and broader financial services policy developments across MEA, CEE, and the UK, focusing on regulatory and legislative developments relevant to Moody's business and affiliates.
