Opportunity

Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience? We are looking for a Counter Agent to join our team and serve as the primary point of contact for customers and intermediaries visiting the Maersk counter. In this role, you will manage counter-related interactions, primarily supporting the release of cargo and documentation, while ensuring a seamless customer journey. You will also play an active role in identifying opportunities to improve customer experience and optimize operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

As a Counter Agent, you will:

  • Manage all required system updates to ensure an excellent customer experience at the counter.

  • Execute import and export counter activities in line with established processes and service standards.

  • Contribute to achieving individual and team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Internal Operating Procedures (IOPs) are consistently followed by the Third-Party Agent (TPA).

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support counter-related operational activities.

  • Investigate and resolve outstanding collections while ensuring real short payments are collected by the TPA.

  • Monitor Third-Party Agent performance and conduct periodic on-site audits to ensure compliance with agreed service standards.

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and enhance the customer experience.

Who We Are Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience in customer service, commercial operations, or a customer-facing counter environment.

  • Experience within the logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, or transportation industry is an advantage.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good written and spoken English.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • The ability to prioritize tasks and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • A proactive, customer-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
