Coffee & Food Expert and Brand Ambassador * Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Starbucks. * Provide a unique coffee and food-forward experience for every customer, including keeping up with production demand throughout the day. * Serve as a coffee and food expert, providing exceptional knowledge of food and beverage products and the ingredients used in those products. * Demonstrate impeccable composure and the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations. Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events. * Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. * Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and standards. * Contribute to a positive team environment. * Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. Service * Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment and observing customer cues. * Deliver exceptional customer service to all customers. * Support the store events model and its execution. * Take responsibility for the full-service model in applicable locations. Sales * Maintain knowledge of a wide variety of rotating food, beverage, whole bean, and retail items. * Engage customers and leverage selling skills through recommendations, suggested food, beverage, and coffee pairings, and equipment demonstrations. Operations * Follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift. * Maintain a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and products as needed. * Operate in an environment with rapid innovation and minimal turnaround time from innovation to product and service delivery to the customer. * Support inventory management, receiving, and storage of deliveries. * Utilize production planning tools to ensure item availability. * Prepare, finish, and assemble beverage and food items using the necessary equipment. * Stock and maintain all display tables and cases, as well as all supplies and wares needed for service and sales. * Proof various doughs and laminates.
