Primary Location: United States (US) - Illinois - Milan Function: Operations (CA) Title: Supervisor - 3rd Shift - 122123 Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position ## Your Responsibilities As a Supervisor for JD Parts Distribution Center located in Milan, IL, you will: * Independently plan, organize, and prioritize tasks to meet operational goals. * Foster a positive work environment through clear communication practices. * Ensure that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instructions and tools to successfully do their job. * Determine work priorities based on the production schedule and customer needs. * Promote and enforce safe work practices; mentor team members in safety protocols. * Strong understanding of safety standards and policy compliance. VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position ## What Skills You Need * This is a 3rd shift position. Must be able to work 3rd shift and overtime as business needs require it. * 1+ years of demonstrated ability to lead production teams and drive performance. * 1+ years of experience in workflow management and action planning. * 1+ years of proven ability to drive operational excellence through effective performance management—both personally and across the team. * Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills ## Long Description * Familiarity with CIPP incentive pay systems, including performance tracking and coaching. * Hands-on experience with SAP EWM, including warehouse functions such as receiving, putaway, replenishment, and cartonization. * Proven experience working in a union environment, with knowledge of labor relations and structured performance processes. * Strong background in CI processes, including leading improvement projects and applying 5S methodology. ## Major Purpose Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: * Bachelor’s degree or minimum 1+ year of relevant work experience What You'll Get At John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go while working in an inclusive team environment.
