The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to be responsible for the design, specification, and delivery of civil structural engineering services across various market sectors including transport, heavy industrial, mining, process and water.

Your role will involve the design of structural systems and foundations constructed from concrete, steel, and other engineered materials, as well as bridges, culverts, pits, platforms, silo’s, overhead wiring structures, equipment supports, retaining structures, and associated infrastructure.

Who are you?

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be able to perform all conventional aspects of structural engineering. You will be able to evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptions and modifications.

Other requirements are:

• Experience in the practice of the discipline of structural engineering in a consulting and project environment.
• Background in design of Rail, Roads & transport, mining, water, oil & gas.
• Ability to prepare and check design calculations using either manual methods or with the aid of computer applications such as Space Gass, ETABS, Idea Statica, RAPT or Strand7.
• Ability to prepare and independently check structural calculations, technical reports, and specifications
• Competence in delivering work according to budget, schedule and quality requirements
• Ability to liaise with peers, subordinates, clients, suppliers, statutory authorities and other consultants
• Tertiary Qualifications in Civil/Structural Engineering or an equivalent as well as CPEng registration (or the ability to obtain)
• Full Australian working rights and ideally the ability to obtain baseline clearance
