The opportunity
We're looking for a passionate designer to join the Adobe Express Design team to help shape a new generative experience within Adobe Express. You'll design the moments where generative AI and hands-on editing meet: prompting, output variations and generation, content and image editing, and the guardrails that keep results on-brand and trustworthy.
Adobe Express is on a mission to help business owners, social marketers, communicators, and side hustlers create standout content in minutes. Our design team is passionate about delivering a fast, easy, and fun creative experience that empowers users to bring their ideas to life beautifully and effortlessly.

What you will do
Design intuitive, end-to-end creative experiences, from initial input through generation to hands-on editing, that help users create standout content in minutes. Sweat the details on generation states like loading, conversation, variations, and regeneration.
Partner with other designers, product managers, researchers, and engineers, including the teams building the underlying generative models, to shape features and roadmap grounded in research and data.
Define patterns and frameworks for prompting, generation, and editing controls that scale across templates, content types, and surfaces, while navigating the ambiguity that comes with fast-evolving generative AI capabilities. Coordinate multiple projects to completion and champion UX best practices.
Bring strong UX/UI craft and a clear design point of view to set the principles for this experience, apply them consistently, and define the guardrails that keep generated output on-brand and trustworthy.
Test results from early-stage prototypes, capture insights on quality, trust, and control in the output, and fold findings into fast iterations.
What you need to succeed
Must-haves:
Degree or equivalent experience in a design-related field with a strong design foundation. 2-4 years of relevant product/domain design experience.
Ability to handle open-ended and ambiguous design problems, and to work through them with guidance from a design lead.
The ability to present design decisions and the reasoning behind them clearly, confidently, and professionally to your team and cross-functional partners.
Proficiency with prototyping with AI tools like Cursor, Claude, etc., and the ability to produce experience workflows and high-fidelity prototypes to communicate and test ideas.
Proficiency in Figma or similar tools, and familiarity with design systems.
Openness to feedback and comfort working in a fast, iterative design process.
Curiosity about generative AI and prompt-driven design — an interest in shaping what AI-assisted creation should feel like.
Nice-to-haves:
Familiarity with content or layout generation tools.
Interest in interaction and motion design, especially for AI states like generation, loading, and variation selection.
Experience working with global teams across different time zones.
A desire to go beyond pixels: curiosity and breadth as a creative individual.
Proficient at using AI tools in day to day work, and passionate about learning about AI frontier models.
Knowledge of HTML CSS is a plus.
How to apply
To be considered for this role, please submit a resume and portfolio. In your portfolio, please include examples of work that demonstrate your ability to design end-to-end product experiences, ideally including any AI-assisted or generative workflows.
