Please note that this is a casual role, with no guaranteed hours.What you will be doing:Assisting with bunker operations for vessels when they are at the PortDischarging of fuel tankers into Oil Industry Terminal tanksOther duties may be offered should you have the right skills and positive approach to workInvolves manual handling of up to 25kgs and working outside in all weather conditionsVessels can arrive at any time of the day or night, weekdays or weekend, so flexibility is key for this roleQualificationsProfile:Proven ability to manage your time and work in a busy environmentDue to working hours and the need to be available on short notice, ideally you will be based locallyOwing to the nature of the work and scheduling requirements, you will need to be able to work, days, nights, weekends and public holidays in all weather conditions when requiredDemonstrated skill in following operating procedures including strict health and safety requirements Knowledge of and previous experience working in the Oil, Gas and Chemical Industry highly advantageousQualifications:Good verbal communication and able to maintain accurate written recordsCommuter literateMust hold a current and unrestricted New Zealand Driver’s LicenseForklift License (an advantageous)Pass a drug screening and MOJ processMust have the right to work in New ZealandAdditional InformationAs a Casual Plant and Terminal Operator, you can expect:SGS will provide you with training with pay progression through successful completion.Opportunities for ongoing training and professional developmentA collaborative and inclusive team cultureAbout usSGS is the world’s leading Testing, Inspection and Certification company.
