MARKETING ACTUARY – LIFE – BERMUDA – 10% TAX – HR104

About this opportunity

Our client is currently seeking applicants for the position of Marketing Actuary. The successful candidate will be responsible for pricing, underwriting support, documenting, reporting on, and monitoring both existing and new reinsurance treaties within the company's Life & Health portfolio. The Marketing Actuary will support the senior actuarial team and business development leadership in marketing activities, while also undertaking other duties as reasonably required by the company from time to time.

Main responsibilities:

  • Independently analyse, model and price standard new business and in-force transactions
  • Develop and maintain pricing models, assumptions and sensitivities for Financial Solutions structures
  • Explain key pricing levers, risks, sensitivities and commercial implications clearly
  • Support transaction structuring by assessing economics, risk, strategic value and execution considerations
  • Prepare clear pricing documentation, approval materials and senior stakeholder summaries
  • Support treaty drafting, review, validation, registration, archiving and implementation
  • Monitor treaty performance, review experience and flag emerging issues or trends
  • Build market, product, regulatory and client knowledge for assigned markets
  • Collaborate with local offices, Financial Solutions colleagues and relevant Group functions
  • Manage workload, priorities and deadlines reliably across multiple live opportunities
  • Contribute to team tools, templates, processes and knowledge sharing

What you’ll need

  • A minimum of 5 years’ actuarial experience, ideally in life (re)insurance pricing, structuring and/or financial solutions
  • Good knowledge of life reinsurance and relevant Financial Solutions structures
  • Ability to price standard transactions independently and explain key assumptions, sensitivities and results clearly
  • Strong analytical skills with commercial judgment and understanding of deal economics, risk and client objectives
  • Advanced Excel and actuarial modelling skills, with familiarity with analytical or reporting tools such as VBA, SQL and/or Power BI
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including pricing papers, approvals and senior stakeholder summaries
  • Organized, collaborative and flexible, with ownership of deliverables across competing priorities and deadlines
