We’re seeking a hands-on professional with exceptional attention to detail, a strong commitment to quality, and outstanding interpersonal skills.This position may be filled at varying shift times including weekdays, nights, and weekends (shift differential paid during eligible shifts).A shift - Mon-Thurs 7am-5:30pmB Shift - Mon-Thurs 5:30pm-4amC Shift - Fri-Sun 7am-7:30pmD Shift - Fri-Sun 7pm-7:30amEssential Functions:Read and understand blueprintsTranslate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies to include precision drilling, countersinking, and the use of calibrated toolsAligning parts on jigs using templates and fixturesPerforming part-fitting operations: filing sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reamingMeasures parts with precision tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensionsMay modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedureDaily usage of manufacturing shop controls and systemsUse of appropriate PPE when working on the shop floorRecommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance, and team effectivenessBasic Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in hydraulic parts, assemblies, components, or systems in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment​This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 35 pounds, working overhead or at heights, and accessing small, confined spacesMust have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret level clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as defined by the company to meet its business needs. U.S. Citizenship required for clearance.Must successfully complete and pass the “ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance” within a reasonable time period, as defined by the company to meet its business needMust have the ability to work any shiftPreferred Qualifications: Current/active U.S. Government Secret level clearanceExperience in aerospace manufacturingDemonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment and power hand tools (Drills, grinders, sanders, cutting wheels, saws, tape measures, scales, micrometers, dial calipers, etc.)Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical specifications and operating proceduresExperience working to electronic or written instructionsAbility to read engineering drawings
