Production Planner – Chilca
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Production Planner to join our team in Chilca.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring the flow of products throughout the complete production cycle. You will manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS), coordinate short-term production scheduling and medium-term capacity planning, and ensure that customer orders are manufactured safely, efficiently and on time. You will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Sales and Supply Chain to optimise production capacity, material availability and delivery performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning & Scheduling: Develop, maintain and monitor the Master Production Schedule (MPS), leading short-term production scheduling and medium-term capacity planning to ensure operational alignment and resource feasibility.
- Delivery Performance & Order Management: Review and schedule customer sales orders, manage due dates and proactively identify risks or constraints to improve DIFOT (Delivery in Full on Time) and reduce late orders.
- Capacity & Materials Planning: Continuously review production plans, capacity, stock levels and material availability, identifying potential constraints and recommending actions to maintain production flow and customer delivery commitments.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Sales and Supply Chain to align production priorities, communicate changes and ensure accurate production plans, lead times and expected delivery dates.
- Systems, Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Maintain accurate planning and production information using MRP/ERP systems and planning tools, monitor manufacturing cycle times and forward loads, prepare operational reports and continuously improve production planning processes, systems and tools.
Our Ideal Candidate meets the following criteria:
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing or a related field.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment, preferably in heavy industry or a similar industrial operation.
- Planning Experience: Demonstrated experience in Master Production Scheduling (MPS), production scheduling, capacity planning, order fulfilment and delivery performance.
- Systems & Analytical Skills: Experience with MRP/ERP systems and advanced Excel skills are required. Strong analytical capabilities to forecast and plan production requirements.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in technical English, is considered an advantage but is not mandatory.
- Manufacturing Knowledge: Experience with manufacturing processes and knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and costs.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with Operations, Engineering, Sales, Supply Chain, customers and suppliers.
- Problem Solving & Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment and quickly adjust production plans in response to changing priorities, constraints and demand.

The position will be based at our Chilca Foundry, located at G74J+WH, Chilca 15870 (transportation will be provided).
