The Test team is responsible for developing infrastructure to perform tests on fuel & hydraulic system components. The test team works with hardware owners to define testing requirements, design & implement test fixtures, and assist in data collection to inform and verify design decisions. Responsibilities:
- Design test fixtures and interfaces.
- Perform analysis to determine target test points, instrumentation, and ensure sufficient test safety margins.
- Organize and run test design reviews with stakeholders in cross-functional teams
- Create manufacturing plans for test components/fixtures and work directly with manufacturing/build teams to monitor build progress and assist in resolving issues.
- Design and release flight-like hardware as necessary for test (including CAD and drawing creation)
Minimum Requirements:
- Practical experience designing, building, and testing vehicles through internships, studies or projects.
- Must be currently enrolled in a STEM program at an accredited college or university (undergraduate student in your third or fourth year of study, or enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program).
- Strong interest in testing.
- Strong understanding of engineering first principles.
- Demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams.
- Enthusiasm for aviation and Hermeus's mission.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- GPA of 3.0 or above.
