As a Qualcomm Systems Engineer, you will research, design, develop, simulate, and/or validate systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions that enables the development of cutting-edge technology. Qualcomm Systems Engineers collaborate across functional teams to meet and exceed system-level requirements and standards. Job Overview We seek a passionate engineer with in-depth knowledge on algorithm design for new image sensor technologies to join the Camera Systems team. The Camera Systems team creates embedded imaging solutions for Snapdragon chipsets that power advanced mobile devices. Our solutions leverage dedicated hardware, multi-core processors, DSP, and GPU cores to provide state-of-the-art photographs, video recordings, as well as scene data for image understanding and object detection. Responsibilities include the following: 1\. Image Quality (IQ) Evaluation System development for Mobile photo camera, Automotive camera, and IoT Produce Camera. The IQ areas include tone/exposure, color and white balance, texture/details, noise, depth and Bokeh, resolution, visual artifacts in photo and video. 2\. Perform end-to-end IQ evaluation and tuning on traditional imaging algorithms or modern machine learning based features. 3\. Perform system level imaging optimization and discover system IQ constraints 4\. Design of camera systems that balance power, memory, silicon area to maximize imaging performance 5\. Design ISP and SW combined feature to get better image quality and power performance Basic Qualifications 3+ years working experiences in some of the following areas: * Signal/image processing and IQ tuning experience including noise reduction process * Camera and Computer Vision technologies * Image quality (IQ) evaluation methodologies and metrics * Multi-camera system algorithms including at least one of following subjects or similar: temporal synchronization, image fusion, depth estimation, dual-camera calibration / stitching. * Knowledge of modern machine learning techniques * Customer support/ camera tuning experience * C, C++, Matlab, Python Preferred Qualifications * Candidates should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills along with strong coding background * Track record of driving ideas from design through commercialization * Excellent knowledge of C++, capability to design and implement robust, high-performance and flexible system software * Experience in integrating machine learning algorithm into camera systems. Education Requirements * Master or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
