Overview

BRMi is seeking a Technical Lead/Solutions Architect to support a large financial enterprise client.

 

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Technical Lead / Solution Architect to lead the architecture, technical strategy, and implementation of the Cloud Core Release Certification Hub. The Certification Hub is a strategic enterprise platform designed to centralize release impact analysis, test selection, test execution orchestration, test data quality validation, defect management, release readiness scoring, certification evidence, compliance reporting, and executive Go/No-Go decision support across Oracle, Zafin, and NFCU Cloud Core platforms.

 

This is not a traditional application development role. It is an opportunity to define and build an enterprise-scale quality engineering and release certification platform that combines AI-enabled recommendations, test automation, analytics, governance, traceability, and DevSecOps best practices.

 

As the Technical Lead, you will serve as the technical authority for the platform, driving architecture decisions, integration strategies, AI enablement capabilities, data models, governance frameworks, and engineering standards. You will collaborate with Quality Engineering, Release Management, DevOps, Product Management, Architecture, Security, Risk, and Audit stakeholders to deliver a scalable, secure, and audit-ready solution.

 

This is a hands-on senior-level individual contributor role that requires balancing strategic architecture leadership with tactical engineering guidance. The ideal candidate can operate comfortably across application architecture, integrations, AI technologies, analytics platforms, governance controls, and enterprise-scale delivery initiatives.

 

**Hybrid in Vienna, VA, Pensacola, FL, or Winchester, VA 3 days per week. Will consider fully remote for the right candidate in one of these locations that meets eligibility requirements. No third parties.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall technical architecture, design, and implementation strategy for the Cloud Core Release Certification Hub.

• Define the platform's application, integration, data, analytics, security, governance, and AI architecture patterns.

• Establish the canonical data model supporting releases, requirements, test cases, test executions, defects, evidence artifacts, approvals, readiness decisions, and audit records.

• Design and govern integrations with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Oracle platforms, Zafin, defect management systems, identity providers, and test data management solutions.

• Partner with engineering teams to establish implementation patterns, coding standards, API standards, observability requirements, and DevSecOps practices.

• Conduct architecture reviews, design reviews, and technical decision-making sessions across multiple workstreams.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, architects, data engineers, AI engineers, and DevOps practitioners.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, TPMs, QE leaders, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with certification and governance objectives.

• Drive platform scalability, operational readiness, resiliency, security, and maintainability.

• Support the creation of technical roadmaps, architecture artifacts, design documentation, and implementation plans.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve release certification, test automation, analytics, and AI-enabled decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years operating as a Technical Lead, Solution Architect, Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, or equivalent technical leadership role.

• Demonstrated experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale platforms with multiple integrations, large data volumes, and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Strong experience with cloud-native architecture, microservices, APIs, event-driven systems, and enterprise integration patterns.

• Experience designing enterprise data models, analytics solutions, and reporting platforms.

• Deep understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and modern software delivery practices.

• Experience implementing security controls including RBAC, authentication, authorization, audit logging, and compliance requirements.

• Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, telemetry, and operational support strategies.

• Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with experience presenting architecture and technical strategies to leadership teams.

• Experience leading technical teams through complex enterprise transformation initiatives.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, Test Management, or Release Management platforms.

• Financial services, banking, or other highly regulated industry experience.

• Experience building AI-enabled solutions using Generative AI, AI agents, machine learning, or recommendation engines.

• Experience designing traceability, auditability, compliance, governance, and evidence management solutions.

• Familiarity with Oracle Banking platforms, Zafin, and enterprise testing ecosystems.

• Experience with test data management platforms such as GenRocket or similar solutions.

• Strong understanding of release certification, production readiness, quality gates, and governance processes.

• Experience working within DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, or Developer Experience organizations.

• Experience with Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or enterprise-scale delivery frameworks.

• Prior experience serving as the lead architect or principal engineer for a strategic enterprise platform initiative.

 

Ideal Candidate Profile:

A hands-on technical leader who can architect and guide the delivery of an enterprise platform from concept through implementation. This individual combines strong engineering fundamentals with enterprise architecture expertise and can make critical decisions across integrations, AI enablement, analytics, governance, security, and quality engineering domains while influencing stakeholders across multiple organizations.
