Our Consulting Delivery Hub (CDH) in India is a critical part of ERM’s global consulting model enabling scalable, high-quality delivery across regions and service lines. CDH teams work in close partnership with regional consultants to support global client projects, providing specialist expertise, driving consistency, and enhancing delivery efficiency across our most important programmes.

Why this role matters?
As a Managing Consultant – Environmental Data Manager, you will support ERM's global consulting delivery by leading environmental data management initiatives, providing technical leadership, and coordinating the delivery of high-quality data management solutions across environmental and sustainability projects. You will work within the Data Analytics & Visualization (DAV) service line, partnering with project managers, environmental scientists, laboratories, clients, and regional consulting teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and decision-ready environmental data solutions. This role is critical to ensuring data quality and regulatory compliance, improving delivery efficiency, driving standardization and innovation, and supporting the successful execution of complex projects through technical leadership, resource coordination, and team development.
What your impact is?
Technical Leadership & Delivery
Manage and oversee environmental data systems such as EarthSoft EQuIS, Locus EIM, and similar platforms.
Integrate and QA/QC data from laboratory, field, and historical sources, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Coordinate with analytical laboratories to ensure timely and accurate Electronic Data Deliverables (EDDs).
Design and maintain dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, and EQuIS Enterprise.
Experience with EQuIS Collect, SPM, Enterprise, Edge, EnviroInsite, ArcEQuIS or related modules.
Develop and maintain queries, functions, views, and stored procedures to support reporting and troubleshooting.
Apply statistical analysis and predictive modeling to evaluate environmental impacts and forecast trends.
Produce borelogs and geological visualizations using tools like gINT, LeapFrog, RockWorks, and EnviroInsite.
Design and implement data migration of historical data into enterprise systems, ensuring compatibility and formatting standards.
Project & Client Engagement
Lead multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule expectations, ensuring high quality deliverables.
Collaborate with project teams to plan sampling campaigns, manage deliverables, and support data reporting.
Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients, delivering impactful solutions and supporting proposal development.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
Team Development & Collaboration
Mentor junior staff and contribute to technical communities within ERM.
Facilitate communication among field teams, laboratories, data validators, and GIS analysts.
Develop SOPs, process maps, and documentation to support data workflows and team efficiency.
Lead meetings and deliver presentations to internal teams and clients.
Innovation & Business Contribution
Drive development of new data services and automated workflows in collaboration with ERM’s Technical Communities.
Promote ERM’s technical excellence through participation in conferences, publications, and client events.
Apply commercial acumen to support project planning, budgeting, and risk management.
What will you bring?
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
8–12 years of experience in environmental data management or consulting.
Advanced proficiency in EarthSoft EQuIS (including Collect, SPM, Edge, ArcGIS, EnviroInsite, ArcEQuIS), Locus EIM, and related systems.
Experience in SQL Server, Microsoft Access, Power BI, Power Query, and Power Automate.
Experience with geological visualization tools and GIS platforms (EVS, Leapfrog, ArcGIS, AutoCAD).
Familiarity with SharePoint, MS Project, and programming and analytics tools such as Python, R, and KNIME.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to lead projects and mentor teams in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
Experience supporting global environmental consulting projects and teams.
Preferred skills & competencies
Experience with geological visualization tools and GIS platforms (EVS, RockWorks, Leapfrog, EnviroInsite, AutoCAD, ArcGIS).
Familiarity with environmental data platforms such as Locus EIM, ESDAT, ENFOS, or similar systems.
Knowledge of Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
Experience with Python, R, or automation tools.
Exposure to GIS platforms such as ArcGIS.
Key responsibilities
Lead and continuously improve environmental data management workflows, reporting frameworks, QA/QC processes, and best practices.
Coordinate with project managers, laboratories, technical teams, and clients to deliver high-quality environmental data management solutions.
Oversee data management activities including data loading, validation, reporting, dashboard development, data migration, and data quality management.
Develop SOPs, technical standards, training materials, and mentor junior team members to support capability growth and consistent service delivery.
