Medical Assistant - Multidisciplinary Clinic

Under the general supervision of the Director, the Medical Assistant assists the physician in the delivery of direct patient care in the outpatient setting. Obtains pre-authorizations and schedules patient appointments for diagnostic testing, assists physician's and physician assistant with patient calls and requests.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Graduation from accredited medical assisting program, or equivalent education/experience
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association 
• 1 year medical back-office assistant in a hospital or physician practice.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Upon hire: National Certified Medical Assistant  
• 6 months experience with bracing and orthotic application.
