Vice President, Compliance & Control - Regulatory Change - Pershing & Markets

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Compliance Officer to join the Pershing and Markets Compliance team. This role is located in Manchester, UK. 

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Lead horizon scanning and regulatory change oversight across Pershing and Markets EMEA, ensuring regulatory developments are identified, assessed, tracked and implemented effectively.
  • Maintain regulatory change governance frameworks, including publications logs, horizon scanning tools, procedures and supporting documentation.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to assess the impact of regulatory developments and support prioritisation, interpretation and implementation activities.
  • Act as a key liaison between Pershing/Markets EMEA and BNY’s EMEA Regulatory Change function, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and governance requirements.
  • Provide practical compliance advice and risk-based challenge on regulatory change initiatives, projects and business activities.
  • Prepare management information, support regulatory reporting obligations and contribute to compliance communications, working groups and cross-functional initiatives.

     

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

  • Compliance experience within financial services, with strong knowledge of FCA regulations relating to custody, client assets, clearing and settlement activities.
  • Strong understanding of UK regulatory developments, including experience analysing consultation papers, policy statements and regulatory thematic reviews.
  • Working knowledge of key regulatory frameworks including COBS, SYSC, SMCR, DISP, MiFID, COLL, CASS and MAR, with Irish and Jersey regulatory knowledge desirable.
  • Proven ability to provide practical compliance advice, influence stakeholders and communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
  • Experience working within a global organisation and collaborating across business, compliance and regulatory functions in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Familiarity with compliance risk management frameworks, regulatory change programmes, compliance projects and emerging technologies, including AI.
