Base pay range $165,000.00/yr - $210,000.00/yr VDC Manager – Mechanical ConstructionSacramento, CA (Hybrid) Candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area or Reno/Sparks, NV who can regularly travel to Sacramento are also encouraged to apply.$165,000–$210,000+ DOE, plus annual performance bonusLead the Team Behind Some of Northern California's Most Complex Mechanical Construction ProjectsWe're seeking an experienced VDC Manager to lead a growing BIM/VDC department supporting large commercial mechanical construction projects throughout Northern California and Northern Nevada.This is a leadership-first opportunity for someone who enjoys developing people, driving quality, and ensuring every model is accurate, coordinated, fabrication-ready, and field-ready. If you're looking to step into a role where you can influence department strategy while leading a talented team of BIM professionals, we'd love to speak with you.What You'll DoLead, mentor, and develop a team of BIM Coordinators, Modelers, Detailers, VDC Specialists, and Layout Technicians. Manage department workload, staffing, scheduling, and resource planning across multiple projects. Ensure all BIM deliverables meet quality, coordination, fabrication, and installation standards. Lead constructability reviews, clash detection, and multi-trade coordination meetings. Oversee QA/QC reviews and model audits throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate with project managers, fabrication teams, field operations, and design partners. Manage third-party modeling partners when project workload requires additional resources. Visit project sites several times each month to verify models accurately reflect field conditions. Help drive continuous improvement across VDC processes, quality standards, and team performance. Projects You'll SupportYou'll help deliver complex commercial projects including:Healthcare & Hospitals Higher Education & Schools Hotels & Hospitality Government Facilities Industrial Projects Commercial Buildings Mechanical & Plumbing Systems What We're Looking For8+ years of BIM/VDC experience within commercial construction 3+ years leading BIM, VDC, or detailing teams Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC, or MEP construction experience Strong understanding of constructability, coordination, prefabrication, and field installation Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Passion for coaching teams and improving operational performance Preferred Software ExperienceRevit Navisworks Manage Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) Bluebeam Microsoft Office Bonus experience with:Revizto Dynamo Trimble Layout Systems Power BI Reality Capture Software Why You'll Love This OpportunityHybrid work environment Lead an established and growing VDC department Work on large, technically challenging commercial projects...
