Job Description

**$18,000 Sign-On Bonus Available to New Hires w/Experience! **

Minimum Training and Education: Associate degree in nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred. 

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations:  Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

Additional Job Description

Physical and Mental Requirements: Must be able to perform job duties while standing, sitting, walking, bending at the waist, twisting, squatting, reaching in all directions, reaching overhead, and performing repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, elbows, and shoulders. Must also be able to climb stairs, work indoors, work outdoors in temperature extremes, work from elevated areas, work in confined or cramped spaces, and perform duties from kneeling positions. Required hand and motor skills include pinching, gross motor activity, firm grasping, fine manipulation, full use of both legs, lower-extremity balance and coordination, and frequent fine motor movement. Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. unassisted; lift or lower 50 lbs. from the floor to 36 inches unassisted; lift 25 lbs. from 36 inches to overhead; and exert up to 50 lbs. of force. Examples include using 50 lbs. of force to transfer a 100 lb. patient who cannot assist, requiring additional healthcare worker assistance for every additional 100 lbs.; using 20 lbs. of force to push a 400 lb. patient in a wheelchair on carpet; and using 25 lbs. of force to push a stretcher with a patient using one hand. Must maintain 20/40 corrected vision in one eye or both eyes, see and recognize objects near or far, distinguish colors, determine distance and depth perception, maintain good peripheral vision, and maintain hearing acuity with correction. Must be able to manage stressful situations, work rotating shifts, work overtime as required, work in a latex-safe environment, and maintain tactile sensory function. Selected positions may also require maintaining good olfactory sensory function and being physically qualified for respirator use initially and as needed. Frequency requirements include continuous performance for most core physical, sensory, and environmental functions; frequent performance for elevated-area work, confined-space work, twisting, squatting, pinching, overhead reaching, lower-extremity balance and coordination, exerting up to 50 lbs. of force, rotating shifts, and overtime; and infrequent performance for stair climbing, outdoor work in temperature extremes, kneeling, and specified lifting tasks.
