All Jobs  >  Senior Strategic Sourcing Engineer Apply Senior Strategic Sourcing Engineer Westerville, OH Apply Job Type Full-time Description We are in search of a Senior Strategic Sourcing Engineer to ensure viable, compliant, supply sources while mitigating associated risk, maximizing quality, and minimizing cost.Key Responsibilities:A. Strategic sourcing of assigned products/commoditiesB. Participate in cross-functional teams to improve new product development, design for manufacturability (DFM), and identify and resolve nonconformance issues, problems or improve processesC. Manage and drive continuous improvement in supply base and activities related to renewal agreements, objective performance metrics, lead time reduction, on-time delivery, quality and cost reductionD. Facilitate and lead Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE) and Six Sigma ProcessesE. Prepare and issue RFQ’s, negotiating price and delivery terms, and ensuring the accuracy of purchase order, and summarize RFQ resultsF. Source product and materials according to drawing specifications and project requirementsG. Evaluate and measure suppliers’ performance and initiate corrective action when expectations are not metH. Identify areas of risk for the business (i.e.; delivery, quality, cost, performance, etc.) through activities such as monitoring global events, and make recommendations to mitigate risk.I. Assist in accounting discrepancies and pricing variance reports; coordinate Engineering Change Orders with suppliers, maintain accurate record, and communicate necessary cost adjustmentsJ. Monitor and maintain accurate quote files, component pricing, material discrepancy reports, and special cost adjustments.K. Lead the research of new technologies with potential to enhance existing product or provide new avenues for product solutions.
