We are looking for an intern to join our Project Quality team based in Milano. You will be responsible for supporting assignments on projects cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
How you'll make an impact
- Ensuring support to the project management team regarding all quality related issues on projects to support its objective achievement in terms of quality, supplier & subcontractor quality, and customer satisfaction. Cooperating with the customer on Project Quality issues and ensuring ownership of actions to resolve it.
- Applying project quality procedures and plans and ensuring appropriate implementation and compliance from the project team. Certifying effective internal controls system (project, supply, site) is in place to verify that processes continue to meet customer and stakeholder requirements, validating that control plans are applied and effective in mitigating prioritized risks. Set up the Project Quality Plan / Quality Management System for the project to merge and match customer requirements, Hitachi Energy policies, regulations and processes, and local regulations.
- Analysing transferability of experience between projects as well as planning Quality Assurance activities to reduce all forms of risk, facilitating lessons learned and best practice sessions and sharing within the organization.
- Assisting in internal and external audits. Pro-actively facilitates the resolution of issues related to quality for a successful project delivery. Ensuring that appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken, and solutions are managed to closure.
- Acting as a Role Model for the behaviour required to support a Quality & Continuous Improvement Culture.
Your background
- University Degree in a technical discipline (engineering or quality management).
- Ability to establish, maintain and influence effective working relationships in a large and complex organization.
- Capacity to communicate, result oriented, openness and listen to others.
- Willingness of being a Change Agent with a positive attitude, challenging conventional thinking, approach and methodology and driving improvements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Italian and English at an advanced level.
- Willingness to travel to project site locations and manufacturing locations (approx. 15% of the time).

The minimum salary for this internship in the location specified is as follows:
Starting from: 800€ gross monthly
The final offer will be based on candidate location, skills and qualifications, experience, and aligned with internal pay structures.
