We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead – Spring Boot, GCP, PostgreSQL, Retail Commerce & Oracle ATG with 8+ years of hands-on development experience and a minimum of 3+ years in team leadership. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in designing and developing scalable eCommerce solutions using Spring Boot Microservices, Oracle ATG Commerce, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and PostgreSQL. This role requires strong technical leadership, solution design capabilities, stakeholder management, and end-to-end ownership of software delivery 

 

• 8+ years of experience in software development. 

• 3+ years of proven experience leading development teams. 

• Strong coding skills in Java and hands-on experience with Spring Boot Microservices Framework. 

• Extensive experience with Oracle ATG Commerce (ATG) development, customization, and integration. 

• Strong understanding of Retail Commerce and eCommerce business processes. 

• Experience designing and developing scalable, resilient, and secure enterprise applications. 

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native architectures. 

• Strong experience with PostgreSQL database design, optimization, and performance tuning. 

• Proven experience with RESTful APIs, Microservices, and distributed systems. 

• Strong code reviewing skills, debugging expertise, and technical problem-solving abilities. 

• Hands-on experience with JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber testing frameworks. 

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Bitbucket, and DevOps practices. 

• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Infrastructure Automation. 

• Ability to work independently and take ownership through production deployment and support. 

• Strong communication, client coordination, and stakeholder management skills. 

• Experience working in high-availability and high-performance environments. 

• Mandatory experience in Retail/eCommerce domain. 

• Strong experience in Catalog Management, Pricing, Promotions, Shopping Cart, Checkout, and Order Management. 

• Experience integrating commerce platforms with Loyalty, Rewards, Martech, Payment, OMS, and SaaS-based applications. 

Key Responsibilities 

Full Ownership / Accountability 

• Demonstrates end-to-end ownership, from requirement analysis and solution design to development, testing, deployment, and production support. 

• Ensures high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions are delivered on schedule. 

Proactive & Independent 

• Works independently, taking ownership of assigned modules through to production deployment. 

• Identifies technical risks proactively and recommends appropriate mitigation strategies. 

Technical Leadership & Project Delivery 

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices. 

• Own end-to-end design, development, deployment, and support of Microservices and ATG-based Retail Commerce applications. 

• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, Architecture, and Business teams to ensure successful delivery. 

• Participate in architecture discussions and drive scalable, secure, and robust solution design. 

• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to development teams. 

Retail Commerce & ATG Development 

• Design, develop, enhance, and support Oracle ATG Commerce applications. 

• Develop Retail Commerce capabilities including Catalog, Pricing, Promotions, Checkout, Customer Profiles, and Order Management. 

• Integrate ATG applications with enterprise systems, third-party services, and cloud platforms. 

• Support modernization initiatives involving migration of commerce applications to cloud-native environments. 

Client Engagement 

• Coordinate directly with client stakeholders to gather requirements and define technical solutions. 

• Provide technical feasibility assessments, estimations, and architecture recommendations. 

• Participate in solution workshops and design discussions. 

Agile Delivery 

• Work within Agile/Scrum frameworks, including Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Estimation, and Retrospectives. 

• Drive continuous improvement through automation, code reviews, and process optimization.
