This role emphasizes delivering exceptional customer service in a high-demand, service-focused environment.  The Developer will work closely with users, management, and stakeholders.  Responsibilities may include planning and developing automated tax application systems, maintaining tax systems, managing computer operations related to tax processing, and supporting other IT functions critical to the agency’s business objectives. Key duties involve analyzing user requirements and activities and developing or enhancing tax-related programs and systems to meet operational goals.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReview and analyze organization business needs; confers with users to evaluate requirements, discuss solutions and develop plan of approachAnalyze and design program logic, screen layouts, reports, station criteria and testing criteria to support development of new or enhanced tax systems; evaluate prototypes, design techniques, tools and instructional methodsPerform all aspects of tax systems design including writing required programs, testing and evaluation of new processes and implementation of new tax applications; writes, tests, debugs and documents softwarePrepare development request documentation to support new or enhanced tax systems and tax applications; translates into detailed functional requirements, technical designs and specificationsConduct or coordinate user acceptance, performance stress, regression and integration testing; makes changes and corrections as neededPerform ongoing maintenance and review of tax applications systems and programs; identifies problems and develops appropriate solutionsParticipate in planning, design, development, integration and implementation of tax software and technologyConfigures, develops, and implements solutions within the context of the GenTax Integrated Tax...
