Director of Clinical Services – Lead Clinical Excellence in a Thriving Veterinary Hospital
Salary up to £95,000 DOE, plus a Welcome Bonus of up to £2500 and a Relocation Allowance of up to £5000

This is an exciting opportunity for a clinically driven individual who is passionate about developing teams, advancing standards of patient care and shaping the future direction of a busy multi-disciplinary veterinary hospital.   As Director of Clinical Services, you will provide clinical leadership across the hospital, working closely with the Director of Practice and senior leadership team. You will be responsible for maintaining exceptional clinical standards, supporting and developing veterinary colleagues, driving quality improvement initiatives and ensuring outstanding patient and client care.  

About Yorkshire Vets

  At the heart of our practice group is Thornbury, our RCVS-accredited veterinary hospital and clinical hub, providing advanced support to our five branch surgeries and ensuring continuity of care for patients across the wider practice. As the host site for Vets Now Bradford, we are able to offer seamless 24/7 patient care, allowing cases to remain within a familiar setting and giving our teams access to a truly varied and rewarding caseload. We have a team of 16 vets which include certificate holders in surgery, ophthalmology and dermatology. We have a highly skilled nursing team and a collaborative culture that encourages continuous learning and professional development.   Thornbury is exceptionally well equipped, with facilities including laparoscopic surgery equipment, ultrasound, endoscopy, dental radiography, a dedicated orthopaedic theatre and Phovia light therapy.   Yorkshire Vets is ideally located across Leeds and Bradford, offering the perfect blend of vibrant city living and easy access to beautiful countryside. How You’ll Make a Difference

  This role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact on the future direction of the hospital, influencing both clinical excellence and team development.  

Working Pattern

  * Working 40 hours per week across 4 or 5 days Monday to Friday plus 1 in 4 Saturday morning 8.30am – 12.30pm * No out-of-hours or on-call commitments.

You’ll bring:   * Proven experience in a senior or leadership role within veterinary practice * Strong clinical expertise with the confidence to support complex case discussions and decision-making * A collaborative and people-focused leadership style, with experience mentoring and developing others * The ability to drive clinical standards, governance, and continuous improvement * Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
