Job Description
As a Security Officer Access Control - Plant Facility in Perry, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic food and beverage location, where you will help manage access control, monitor assigned areas, and support security-related operations through visible presence and routine patrols. In this role, you will welcome visitors, verify badges, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns in accordance with site protocols.
- Communicate with site contacts regarding deliveries, pickups, and/or visitor arrivals, and document security-related activities, observations, and unusual conditions.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, the business, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
