Our differentiated battle management and cyber solutions deliver timely, mission-enabling information and provide superior situational awareness and understanding to protect the U.S. and its global allies.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as Sr. Principal Production Operations based out of Baltimore, MD.What You’ll Get to Do: Primary manufacturing liaison to program management for development and execution of the manufacturing strategyPrimary product development, manufacturing, test, global supply chain, and mission assurance contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with internal and external customers to discuss operational aspects of technical, cost, and schedule performanceOversee and manage the product development, manufacturing, test, global supply chain, and mission assurance activities and serve as primary liaison to program managementAssess project and technical issues and develops and drives action plans and resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction goals and objectivesDevelop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with program managers, engineering, suppliers, line/cell managers, and customersCoordinate and leads the preparation of proposals; prepares and reviews all manufacturing Basis of Estimate justifications, creates master production schedules, and coordinates material planning and production scheduling to include all aspects of producing product through deliveryDrive continuous improvement through mitigating risks and realizing opportunitiesBasic Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience in Project/Program Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related discipline; Master’s degree with 6 years of experience in Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related disciplineExperience with project leadership and/or process improvementExperience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), Proposal Preparation, and/or Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) developmentExperience acting as a liaison between multiple disciplines to solve complex problemsExperience troubleshooting and developing creative solutions to meet customer demandsExperience driving continuous improvement through mitigating risks and realizing opportunitiesExperience leading people and/or projects directly or indirectlyA Current/Active U.S. Government Secret Security ClearanceU.S. citizenship requiredPreferred Qualifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationMaster’s degree in Engineering or Project ManagementExperience communicating with executive leadership (Director or VP level)Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systemWhat We Can Offer You:Northrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company.
