Materials & Process Technician – CVD (Night Shift, 230pm to 1130pm)
Castelion is seeking a Night Shift CVD Operations Technician to support development of hypersonic flight thermal protection system (TPS) materials. This hands-on role is responsible for supporting chemical vapor deposition (CVD) reactor operations, maintaining equipment readiness, and executing standardized procedures to maximize reactor uptime and production throughput.
The successful candidate will work closely with engineering teams to prepare reactors for operation, perform reactor turnaround activities, monitor process execution, and maintain safe, reliable operation of reactor equipment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to consistently execute established procedures with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
Support overnight operation and monitoring of CVD reactors.
Clean, inspect, and prepare reactors for production runs.
Follow standard operating procedures and document process data.
Assist with routine equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
Maintain work areas in a safe and organized condition.
Work closely with engineering teams to develop process operations.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma; technical certificate or associate degree preferred.
2+ years of experience in manufacturing, laboratory, or industrial environment.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Mechanical aptitude and experience operating technical equipment.
Ability to follow written procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
Comfortable working a night shift in a production environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
