LOCATION: Filton (80% of your working week must be office based)

Ready to help shape the future of flight by driving the technology behind how we design aircraft? Join the Airbus Airframe Transverse Design Methods and Tools (1AMRT) team to actively develop NextGen Aircraft while supporting iconic running programs like the Single Aisle and A350. You will get incredible hands-on experience defining, developing, and supporting the cutting-edge processes, methods, and tools (PM&T) that power our engineering teams. This is a unique opportunity to launch your career, mastering the latest 3DExperience PLM systems and gaining end-to-end exposure across advanced Airbus design activities. 

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM 

  • Create and implement new processes, methods, and tools for the Design Process and Definition Dossier of NextGen Aircraft utilizing the new 3DExperience platform.

  • Improve and maintain current PM&T (such as CATIA, Full 3D, Holes and Fasteners, and Q Checker) to ensure the efficiency of Airbus Detailed Design and Integration.

  • Identify airframe design sizing and tool capability needs to directly contribute to the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our design platforms.

  • Take responsibility for the effectiveness of Design Data Sets, Configuration, and Data Management within the design authoring perimeter.

  • Act as a technical M&T specialist, bridging the gap between Engineering, Digital/IT teams, and other domains like Stress Analysis and Materials & Processes.

ABOUT YOU

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a closely related technical discipline.

  • Familiarity with modern engineering process methods and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools.

  • Academic or practical exposure to advanced design applications (such as tolerancing, master geometry, linear/non-linear models, thermal, optimization, or kinematics)

  • Experience working with CATIA V5, CAD 3D modelling or similar
