This role is responsible for functional, integration, end-to-end, and automation testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of modern web applications. The successful candidate will bring hands-on expertise in Playwright automation using JavaScript/TypeScript and collaborate closely with Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders throughout the Software Development Life Cycle. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to automation strategy, continuous testing practices, release validation, and quality assurance initiatives across multiple applications and environments. The individual will design, develop, execute, maintain, and optimise automated test frameworks while supporting production-ready software releases. ## What you’ll do ## * Design, develop, execute, maintain, and optimise automated test suites using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript. * Perform functional, integration, regression, API, and end-to-end testing across web applications. * Execute automated test scripts through GitHub Workflows and support CI/CD integration. * Contribute to the design and maintenance of scalable automation frameworks and reusable testing assets. * Participate in product design reviews and provide feedback on requirements, solution designs, schedules, and quality risks. * Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA colleagues, and DevOps teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC. * Investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, validate fixes, and support timely issue resolution. * Manage test data, mocks, and stubs to support effective automated testing. * Support test traceability, quality reporting, and testing documentation. * Proactively identify blockers, risks, and coverage gaps while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. * Support release validation activities and promote automation best practices across the team. ## Who you are ## * An experienced QA Automation Engineer or Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with 4+ years of relevant experience. * Skilled in Playwright automation using JavaScript and/or TypeScript. * Experienced in UI automation, API testing, and end-to-end testing strategies. * Familiar with CI/CD tools and practices including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms. * Knowledgeable in modern web technologies including React, REST APIs, and microservices architecture. * Experienced in automation framework design, test design patterns, and reusable automation architecture. * Comfortable troubleshooting issues across user interface, backend, and pipeline layers. * Experienced in test data management, mocks, and stubs. * Strong understanding of Agile delivery frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and...
