Join our winning team of Wave Makers and Go Getters and help us write the next chapter in the SCJ story.ABOUT THE ROLEIn this role, you will support manufacturing operations by managing capital equipment projects and operational improvement initiatives to help ensure a safe, high-quality, and high-performance work environment.You will lead and collaborate with cross-functional partners in Maintenance, Manufacturing Operations, Safety, Learning & Development, and Lean organizations to ensure new and revised processes are implemented effectively and with precision.You will continuously identify opportunities to eliminate losses, build new capabilities, and implement new technologies, with a primary focus on improving safety, quality, cost, and productivity.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESManage new equipment capital projects from the concept phase through startup.Develop project budgets, obtain funding approval, and manage project costs throughout the life of the project.Develop equipment and process specifications for new equipment using the SCJ Early Management Engineering work process.Investigate, drive, and assist in the implementation of cost-saving projects, manufacturing process optimization, business process optimization, and productivity improvements related to existing manufacturing equipment and processes.Collaborate with R&D, Procurement, and Process Development teams during the new product development process to ensure all new product specifications are aligned with the site's manufacturing capabilities.Develop site standards and best practices for equipment and processes for reapplication to other areas.Participate in the capital planning process and the development of strategic equipment plans for the site.Act as a technical resource and mentor...
