Since launching just over three years ago, we've grown rapidly while continuing to expand our underwriting appetite, introduce new products, automate complex workflows and improve the experience for agents and insureds.We're still early in our journey. That means you'll have the opportunity to help shape not only what we build, but how we build it.About the Product teamProduct sits at the center of Rainbow.We work closely with Engineering, Underwriting, Sales, Service, Claims and leadership to identify opportunities, solve complex operational problems and build products that agents genuinely enjoy using.We're a small Product team by design. You'll have meaningful ownership from day one, work directly with senior leaders, spend time talking with agents and internal teams, and partner closely with Engineering throughout discovery, solution development and delivery.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technically complex product problems and wants to grow into broader product ownership over time. You'll start by owning execution across a portfolio of initiatives while building deep domain knowledge in commercial insurance.What you'll doOwn product initiatives from discovery through delivery, launch, measurement and iteration.Develop a deep understanding of Rainbow's products, underwriting model, agent workflows and operational processes.Develop a working understanding of Rainbow's technical architecture, codebase and data model.Conduct continuous product discovery with agents, brokers, distribution partners and internal teams to understand how people work, where they experience friction and where the greatest opportunities exist.Combine qualitative research, quantitative analysis, product data, submission trends, session recordings and operational feedback to identify opportunities and make product recommendations.Write clear, thoughtful product requirements that define workflows, business rules, edge cases, validation behaviour, acceptance criteria and operational impacts.Partner closely with Engineering throughout solution design and implementation, balancing customer needs, business priorities, technical constraints, regulatory requirements and long-term platform flexibility.Help define and improve AI-assisted underwriting and automation workflows.Collaborate with UX Design to create intuitive, consistent and scalable product experiences.Coordinate cross-functionally with Underwriting, Sales, Service and Claims to ensure product decisions reflect business needs, regulatory requirements and operational realities.Measure product outcomes after launch, identify opportunities for improvement and continuously iterate based on user feedback and product performance.Manage user acceptance testing relating to weekly product releases.Skills you bring3+ years of Product Management experience. Strong quantitative and analytical skills. You're comfortable using data to investigate problems, validate hypotheses and measure outcomes.Experience writing SQL and understanding data models, or the ability and desire to become proficient quickly.Excellent written communication. You can translate ambiguity into clear product requirements, decision documents and implementation guidance.Enough technical fluency to collaborate effectively with engineers, understand system design discussions...
