Candidates must be located in mainland US.Core Responsibilities:Technology Strategy & Vision: Establish the technical roadmap, evaluate emerging tools, and ensure the software platform, processes and infrastructure scale.Engineering Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and lead high-performing engineering and R&D teams.Product & Architecture: Oversee the development and architecture of product solutions, ensuring technical excellence and reliability.Cybersecurity & Compliance: Implement data protection policies, disaster recovery plans, and secure software development lifecycles.Resource Management: Manage technology budgets and establish strategic partnerships with vendors.Stakeholder Communication: Translate technical concepts into strategic business outcomes for the CEO, board members, and investors.How you'll make an impact:Lead and mentor a team of architects and senior engineers, establishing architectural standards, review processes, and best practices across the engineering organization.Serve as the primary technical liaison between product, marketing, integration, and engineering teams — driving alignment on requirements, resolving cross-functional gaps, and owning end-to-end solution delivery.Lead the technical due diligence process for M&A activity, including architecture assessment, risk analysis, and integration roadmap planning in partnership with the M&A integration team.Define and champion the overall technical vision and system architecture, translating complex business requirements into scalable, well-documented solutions using Unified Modeling Language (UML) and other architectural frameworks.Drive architectural decision-making for both server-side and client-side systems, setting standards that guide software developers across multiple teams and product lines.Own, govern, and evolve the organization's architecture documentation, ensuring it remains current, accessible, and actionable as the product and infrastructure scale.Establish and oversee software version control strategies and compilation standards across engineering teams.Proactively identify, escalate, and lead mitigation of technical risks across the solution portfolio.Champion technology innovation by evaluating emerging trends, open-source projects, and third-party tools — building a culture of continuous technical improvement.Required QualificationsExperience: 10+ years of progressive technical experience, including several years in senior management roles (e.g., VP of Engineering, Director of Technology).Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of software development, system architecture, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure.
