This role partners with business leaders to develop financial forecasts, pressure-test new ventures, and lead the financial design of zero-to-one initiatives — while working directly with the CFO on M&A and corporate development activity. The ideal candidate brings exceptional analytical capability paired with sharp business judgment, and is equally comfortable building a robust unit economics model and stepping back to ask whether the strategy itself holds up.This is a hands-on individual contributor role with significant growth opportunity as Harbor scales. We're looking for someone who builds the models themselves, pulls and cleans their own data, and does the unglamorous work alongside the high-visibility analysis. The role is fully remote and open to candidates anywhere in the United States, with periodic travel to Austin for in-person working sessions, executive meetings, and team offsites. It reports to the VP of FP&A with close partnership and direct exposure to the CFO.POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic Planning & Business Case DevelopmentPartner with business leaders across clinical operations, network, growth, and product to evaluate new business ventures, geographic expansion, payer partnerships, and product extensionsBuild defensible business cases grounded in real unit economics — structured to hold up under scrutiny from the executive team, the board, capital partners, and regulatorsDevelop and own scenario and sensitivity analyses that pressure-test the assumptions executives are about to bet the company onTranslate complex analyses into clear recommendations and synthesize them into board-ready materialsZero-to-One Initiative LeadershipLead the financial design and operational stand-up of zero-to-one initiatives, from blank-page business model through pilot economics through scale-up planBuild the analytical scaffolding — data structures, KPIs, reporting cadences — for businesses or product lines that do not yet existM&A & Corporate DevelopmentPartner directly with the CFO on M&A and corporate development opportunities, from initial screening through diligence through integration planningBuild acquisition and partnership models, run diligence workstreams, and develop point-of-view memos for executive and board discussionSupport capital raising and strategic financing workstreams, including investor materials, lender presentations, and term sheet analysisFP&A PartnershipPartner with the VP of FP&A on business planning and step in on select monthly close activities as neededContribute to organizational initiatives and mission-aligned activities across the finance functionDESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCERequired:3–6 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, growth equity, or top-tier strategy consulting — or a combination including 2+ years at a high-growth operating company in a strategic finance or corporate development roleExceptional financial modeling skills, with the ability to build models that are clean, auditable, and survive a rigorous review without being rebuiltStrong analytical capability paired with sharp business judgment, including the ability to spot when a model is mathematically correct but commercially wrongComfort moving between detailed analysis and executive-level synthesis without losing the threadDemonstrated ability to operate in ambiguity, structure unstructured problems, and deliver under deadline pressureStrong ownership mentality; you take responsibility for outcomes and have a low sense of...
