Join an exciting and diverse organization as we embark on solving complex and novel engineering challenges.As a Principal Computer Aided Design and Modeling Engineer you will support the technical engineering drawing and drafting team to develop and maintain the radar systems configuration baseline and support technical data for the program. The successful candidate should be detailed oriented, be able to work collaboratively with multi-disciplined teams, and have a proven track record of accurately documenting and maintaining a configuration baseline. In this job, you will:Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and as-built documentationCheck completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioningIdentify design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommend revisions and/or improvements in design layout to responsible engineers or designers.Support the overall Production Lifecycle Management SystemOther duties as assignedThis position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.If this job description reads like it was written specifically for you, consider joining our team!This position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Science with 5 years of professional experience; Master’s degree in Science with 3 years of professional experience; PhD with 1 year of experience  Requires an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scopeAbility to travel up to 10%Experience with 3D CAD modeling software packages, including NX, Creo, and/or SolidWorksExperience with the generation and creation of engineering drawings compliant to ASME standardsExperience with Indentured part list generation and drawing tree levels of indentureExperience with establishment and maintaining of a system configuration baselineUnderstanding of mechanical design principles, analysis, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.Experience with production lifecycle management systems to manage products and CAD data such as Siemens Teamcenter, Windchill, Enovia, or ARASAbility to perform project engineering type functions for a small group of engineers (task management, customer interactions, working with program management to address schedules and work scope)Ability to present and articulate complex designs to both internal and external customersExcellent written and oral communication skillsExcellent time management and organizational skillsAble to focus on the micro and macro details of a complex system of systems Preferred Qualifications:              Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance current and within scopeBachelors of Science in STEM FieldExperience with Siemens Teamcenter for managing products and CAD dataExperience working to conclusion design drawings and specifications across the entire product development life cycleExperience/knowledge working design verification and verification reportingExperience designing and modeling mechanical hardware interfaces (such as mounting bracketry)Experience with cable management and cable assembly requirements for RF and fiber optic applicationsExperience with integrated electrical systems setup, testing and issue...
