This means you will get a chance to do cool things with a diverse bunch of people while working in an office that is home to some of Zendesk’s most loved products.This role is based in Pune and requires you to work from office at least 3 days a week.What you could get to do every day:Communicate and collaborate with a team of engineers who care about the product and code to provide simple, sophisticated solutions to complex technical problems.Use sound methodologies at every stage of the development cycle including technical design, pair programming, peer code review, documenting, testing, and continuous integration.Collaborating with product management, and engineers to design beautifully simple solutions to complicated problems. You will be relied on from concept through development, QA, staging, and production deployment.Ensuring delivery on commitments. It is your responsibility to ensure code quality, debug code, and seek guidance to unblock tasks pending.Following best practices in all our frameworks and tools.Championing best practices and proper test coverage. We ship code frequently and fast, but stability and reliability must never be compromised.Actively participate in code reviews and design discussionsPartner across all areas of the SDLC, including requirements gathering, and building services and solutions.Work across teams and organization boundaries to standardize and integrate services, new libraries, tools, and workflowsShare the responsibility of maintaining the systems built by the team.What we’d love you to have:8 years of relevant industry experience with frontend software development and active experience with UX thought processExpertise in technical areas including but not limited to Session Management, Object relational mapping, Caching, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, CSS-in-JS, JSON, and REST APIsExperience developing complex single page apps with React or similar JavaScript MVC/MVP frameworkHands on experience on AI tools like cursor, Github co pilot , ChatGPT, Claude code etc.A team-first collaborative attitude that thrives in a fast-moving agile development environmentBe willing to learn new domains and technologiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBonus Skills:Experience with CI/CD and delivery systems (Github Actions, Travis, Jenkins)Experience with an object oriented language like Ruby or Java Experience with databases like MySQL Experience with AWS stack (ie. Aurora RDS)Experience using Datadog or other log aggregation toolsExpertise with instrumentation frameworks like Segment or PendoExperience with JavaScript build infrastructure/tooling (Webpack, Node.js)Please note that Zendesk can only hire candidates who are physically located and plan to work from Karnataka or Maharashtra.
