Skills and CompetenciesWe are seeking an experienced professional to serve as an Industry Practice Lead (IPL) focused on Private Credit and Alternative Investments. The ideal candidate will bring deep, practitioner-led expertise across private credit markets. This expertise should include a comprehensive understanding of private credit investment workflows, operating models, fund structures, and risk management practices, as well as how data, analytics, and technology are applied across these processes.Minimum 10+ years of experience in private credit, alternative investments, or asset management, with exposure to direct lending, opportunistic credit, or structured credit. Strong understanding of private credit operating models, investment lifecycle workflows, and supporting technology ecosystems.Direct experience within an investment, risk, portfolio management, product strategy, or business development function, in particular advising on transformational initiativesExperience engaging with senior stakeholders including portfolio managers, CIOs, risk leaders, and executive committeesExcellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, client-relevant messagingFamiliarity with platforms such as Aladdin, eFront, or similar private markets systems is a plusExperience operating in cross-functional and highly collaborative environmentsAbility to travel up to 50% (required)EducationBachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferredCFA Charterholder status strongly preferredResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will be responsible for establishing credibility and confidence in Moody’s products with prospective clients through sales engagement, industry thought leadership, and domain expertise.
