Accountabilities:

    As an AP Manager, you will own the full Accounts Payable lifecycle, balancing operational execution with process design and continuous improvement across a multi-entity environment.

    • Build and manage the Accounts Payable function from the ground up, transitioning responsibilities from existing accounting teams into a centralized operating model.
    • Own daily AP operations, including invoice processing, vendor bill coding, credit card transaction management, and payment execution.
    • Design and standardize procure-to-pay (P2P) workflows across finance systems and international entities.
    • Improve and automate AP processes by leveraging integrations, AI tools, and workflow optimization opportunities.
    • Manage and optimize finance systems, including NetSuite, Ramp, Pleo, and related tools.
    • Develop and implement approval workflows, expense policies, system permissions, and internal controls to ensure compliance and proper segregation of duties.
    • Support month-end closing activities through accrual management, AP aging analysis, account reconciliations, and reporting.
    • Create documentation, standard operating procedures, and training resources to enable teams to adopt new processes effectively.
    • Partner with finance stakeholders and business teams to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is an experienced accounts payable professional who combines strong accounting expertise with process improvement skills and the ability to work independently in a global environment.

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
      • 5+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounting operations, or a similar finance role, preferably within a multi-entity organization.
      • Proven experience building, scaling, or significantly improving AP functions, including workflows, approval processes, and internal controls.
      • Hands-on experience administering and working with NetSuite and Ramp.
      • Experience using AI tools and automation solutions to optimize financial workflows and reduce manual processes.
      • Good understanding of VAT treatment and compliance requirements for European entities.
      • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.
      • Ability to manage priorities independently while working effectively in a remote environment.
      • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
      • Nice-to-have experience with Pleo or similar spend management platforms, expense policy implementation, or onboarding newly acquired entities into shared finance systems.
