Accountabilities
- Process payroll for multiple European countries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local employment regulations.
- Review, validate, and approve salary registers, ensuring payroll calculations align with country-specific requirements and compliance standards.
- Maintain payroll systems and ensure employee and payroll data is accurately recorded and updated.
- Generate and manage client invoices based on payroll information within HR and payroll systems.
- Respond to client and internal stakeholder queries related to payroll calculations, invoices, service fees, and regional payroll processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve payroll workflows, documentation, and operational processes across the region.
- Monitor updates to employment tax regulations, payroll legislation, and compliance requirements to ensure accurate processing.
- Prepare payroll reports, summaries, and data analysis to support operational visibility and decision-making.
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting payroll deadlines.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar payroll operations role supporting European countries.
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, employer contributions, pension schemes, and employment tax requirements across Europe, particularly Spain, France, Portugal, and Italy.
- Experience managing payroll processes across multiple locations, including large employee populations.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms, payroll systems, and related administrative tools.
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance requirements and ability to apply local regulations effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to support client relationships and collaborate with internal teams.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
